This advanced system enables seamless data transfer, precise signal decoding, and real-time performance insights — all critical to our mission’s success.   As we move forward with DROID.002’s launch, we are excited to expand our capabilities in space domain awareness, satellite servicing, and de-orbiting solutions. TURION SPACE (Deep Tech, '22-23) has been awarded a $32m firm-fixed-price contract by the U.S. Space Force. "Turion Space won a $32.6 million fixed-price contract to build three satellites for the Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) with multiple payloads and real-time command and control... Turion Space, based in Irvine, California, is developing autonomous spacecraft to provide in-space services including space domain awareness, deorbiting defunct satellites, and in-orbit inspections and repairs. " Learn More: https://lnkd.in/eHe5nFZ4

Go Team Turion! Turion Space Corp., Irvine, California, was awarded a $32,600,000 firm-fixed-price contract for multi-payload satellites and real-time command and control. This contract provides for the demonstrations of a rapid build of three satellites with rendezvous proximity operations high-resolution satellite-to-satellite imagery collection capabilities. Work will be performed in Irvine, California, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2028. This contract was a sole source acquisition. Fiscal 2025 research and development funds in the amount of $8,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The Space Systems Command, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, is the contracting activity (FA8809-25-C-B004).

We are excited to announce our Space Act Agreement with NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) (No. SAA3-1835). Under this agreement we will use their state-of-the-art vacuum chamber facilities and test equipment to perform the initial fully integrated TIE-20 thruster test campaign. We are honored to work with the teams NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration GRC, the mecca of gridded ion thruster technology. This will be a major milestone towards providing delivering maximum ΔV/$ for our DROID satellites and others.
