“The required technologies and infrastructure for green hydrogen have long been available, but the absence of a robust market has limited adoption, FPH2 addresses this issue by creating sustainable market conditions, unlocking the true potential of these solutions.” CEI director Jack Brouwer discusses the launch of First Public Hydrogen (FPH2), the new public utility that aims to reshape the renewable hydrogen landscape by simplifying the connection between hydrogen producers and reliable off-takers. CEI with SoCalGas Research Development & Demonstration (RD&D) hosted the 3rd annual Oak View Science Club for students in Oak View, Huntington Beach. Elementary and middle school students explored clean energy through fun experiments like making green hydrogen, building small wind turbines, and competing in an egg drop and marshmallow bridge challenge. The camp was hosted at the Oak View Branch of Huntington Beach City Library serving a low-income, environmentally disadvantaged community in the City of Huntington Beach.
