And that’s a wrap on our fall meetings! Thank you to everyone who attended the Marketing Careers Panel. We heard from Briona Brooks, Grayson Windham and Emily Palazzotto on their experiences in the marketing industry. They shared tips and tricks for success in working with data, project management and effective communication in writing. See you all at our Winter Social on Tuesday, December 3rd to end our semester!

This week we’re highlighting one of our awesome members, Luke Williams! Williams is a second year majoring in public relations with a minor in general business. He is also on the DEI Committee this year! We asked him about his experience in PRSSA and his other involvement around campus.

A huge thank you to Weber Shandwick and Jacob Smith for hosting a few of our PRSSA students this morning! Our students were invited to attend an industry tour where they gained valuable insights into the PR industry. They were able to participate in a Q&A with associates and get a closer look into the various specializations within PR. Be on the lookout for more industry tours in the future! :)

Earlier this month, I was selected for the content committee for UGA PRSSA. We work together to create weekly blog posts about meeting recaps and other engaging topics for their website. It has been such a great learning experience, and I look forward to continuing to work with such an amazing group of girls!

I am excited to announce that I have been selected to work on the Content Committee for the UGA PRSSA chapter ! Simply being a member of this society is a privilege as I am able to speak with industry leaders, network with professionals and other UGA students, and learn how to succeed in such a competitive industry. As a committee member, working with this amazing team of women will help strengthen my writing, interviewing and collaborative skills whilst allowing me to learn how to create content for blogs! I am so excited to see what this year has in store for me as a member of this incredible committee.

Being a member of this society is a privilege, giving me the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, network with professionals and fellow UGA students, and gain valuable insights on thriving in a competitive industry. This opportunity allows me to further my passion for student engagement and creating a supportive community. I’m eager to contribute to initiatives that will enhance the student experience and foster a sense of belonging at UGA. Looking forward to collaborating with incredible individuals and making an impact!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Grady’s 10th Annual ADPR Week! PRSSA and AdClub were happy to host a joint panel and welcome our guest speaker, Dina Zolan from BBDO New York. Zolan is a Grady Alumna and came to share her tips on how to be well versed in the creative world! She took us through some of her work and what the process of being a creative looks like. See you all next Tuesday, Oct. 15th for our Personal Brand: AdPR Connection Prep meeting!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Publicity in NYC meeting this past Tuesday! We were so happy to host Michelle Aselta as our guest speaker and wanted to give a huge thank you to her! Aselta took us through her career in the public relations industry in NYC, sharing all her best advice. She also gave us insight into her experiences in agency life at KCSA Strategic Communications. We are looking forward to hosting more amazing guest speakers this semester!

Kicked off our second meeting last night on PR Campaigns & Careers! We were so happy to host one of our Grady alumna, Maddie Fiorante from Small Girls PR. Maddie shared her insights into life at an agency, how some of her favorite campaigns came to life and advice on navigating a post-grad world. Looking forward to more inspiring guest speakers this semester!
