Thank you to our Ultium Cells Spring Hill team members for volunteering at this year’s Science Olympiad at MTSU on Saturday, February 15th! The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization focused on sparking student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The event recognizes exceptional team achievements across 23 STEM-related challenges. Our volunteers stepped up as event supervisors, guiding students through activities like deconstructing a tower and judging vehicles based on their distance traveled to a target. Their dedication played a key role in encouraging teamwork and problem-solving skills. Great job team!

This holiday season, Ultium Cells hosted toy drives at our Warren, OH, and Spring Hill, TN, locations, collecting toys and raising funds for Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to support Trumbull & Mahoning Counties and The Family Center in Maury County. We are proud to see our team come together to make a difference for children and families in need in our local communities. 

Ultium Cells Ohio celebrated a major milestone with the production of its 100 millionth battery cell. This achievement marks five years since the announcement of the Ultium Cells joint venture. Leaders and employees from Ultium Cells, LG Energy Solution, GM, and the UAW gathered to celebrate the milestone and recognize the workforce’s dedication in reaching this accomplishment. Ultium Cells proudly raised over $19,000 across its Spring Hill, Tenn., and Warren, Ohio, plants during its annual Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser. Proceeds support the Women’s Center at Maury Regional Health and the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center in Youngstown, Ohio, helping to fund treatments, resources, and care accessibility for patients. Ultium Cells - Ohio welcomed MBA students from Columbia Business School for an inside look at our operations. Students explored our production processes and joined leadership in discussions on strategic challenges and opportunities in the EV industry. Representatives from the UAW also shared insights on the role of collaboration in building a strong, innovative workforce. Our Tennessee employees drive GM forward.

On Tuesday, October 8th, General Motors hosted an 'Investor Day' in Spring Hill, TN, where key investors were invited to tour both the GM and Ultium Cells manufacturing facilities, giving them an up-close look at our advanced battery production process. For us, this day was more than just a tour—it was an opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge work happening here and to highlight the skill and dedication of our employees who make it all possible. We take immense pride in what we’re achieving together!

Proud to support the #Panerathon in Youngstown, Ohio, as a sponsor this year! Over the last 15 years, the Panerathon has raised more than $5 million dollars for the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley in support of the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital. It’s an honor to be part of an event that brings our community together for such a great cause. Let’s keep moving forward, one step at a time!

Ultium Cells Ohio hosted its first EV Roadshow courtesy of General Motors and Spitzer Chevrolet. Throughout the day, employees had the chance to ride in a variety of electric vehicles, including the Chevy Silverado Work Truck, Chevy Equinox, Cadillac Lyriq, and the Hummer SUV. These Ultium-powered EVs showcased the cutting-edge technology and innovation that Ultium Cells is proud to support. Thank you to General Motors and Spitzer Chevrolet for their expertise and assistance coordinating the vehicles. Their collaboration was key to the event's success, providing employees with a deeper understanding of how the battery cells they produce are helping to create a more sustainable, all-electric transportation future.

We were honored to host JP Clausen, GM's recently appointed Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing and Sustainability, on Tuesday, May 7, at Ultium Cells - Spring Hill. It was a privilege to showcase our cutting-edge facility, offering JP an immersive firsthand experience of our training and manufacturing operations.
