We stand ready to continue supporting neighbors affected by last week's tragic shooting. The Abundant Life Christian School Emergency and Recovery Fund has raised nearly $114,000 - and we continue to accept donations. Visit https://lnkd.in/e_4bXmy to give today, or text Help4ALCS to 40403. We're working closely with ALCS staff to ensure 100% of the funds go to their community, used for the priorities outlined in this letter. #PowerofCaringWorkingForAll
We're so grateful to our community for stepping up to help our neighbors affected by the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School (ALCS - Madison, WI). In just one week, the Abundant Life Christian School Emergency and Recovery Fund established by us at United Way of Dane County has raised nearly $114,000 - and we're honored to be working closely with the ALCS staff to make sure that 100% of these dollars raised go towards the greatest needs in the aftermath of this tragedy. Those priorities, as outlined in this letter from Principal Doug Butler are: • First, to come alongside any financial needs of the families who lost loved ones, • Then, to support the medical expenses of those injured, • Finally, to use the remaining funds to provide for the mental health needs of their school community. Thank you to ALCS for trusting us to partner on this effort. The fund is still open to donations, and we encourage all to continue giving with your hearts by visiting https://lnkd.in/gESPBd7R. We stand ready to continue supporting our community as we recover, together. #PowerofCaringWorkingForAll

While our community is still healing from the tragedy at Abundant Life Christian School earlier this week, we know that it can be difficult to break the news and explain why everyone in the community is feeling sad.
