Industrial Engineering senior, Eli Just, presented his research poster titled “Early Findings of the Pharmacy Accessibility Index (PAI) Project” at the 2024 University of Louisville Summer Research Showcase this past Friday. This summer, Eli, as a LoDI summer intern, dived into the demographics studies and ArcGIS mapping for the Pharmacy Accessibility Index (PAI) project, partially funded by UofL’s Health Equity Innovation Hub. He analyzed how the travel patterns for pharmacy visits by the West Louisville community differ from those by the rest of Jefferson County, and how social determinants of health might have contributed to the difference. Eli, well done! Congratulations on a productive summer research. 👏 🎉 Collaborators of this project include: Lihui Bai, Sumei (May) Zhang, Demetra Antimisiaris, Rayko Presky and Joy Adeleye #Communitypharmacy #Healthequity #UnviersityofLouisville #Logistics
