If you have been affected by LA wildfires, you can reach out to check the status of your home or property — our team will do what we can to help. Our hearts are with those impacted by the devastating wildfires in LA and the brave firefighters and first responders on the front lines. This week, we received requests from individuals seeking updates on the status of their homes amidst the uncertainty. Due to the prevalence of public and commercial satellite imagery coverage of the area, we have been able to provide information through Lens and are available to help provide clarity where we can at no cost to those that need it during this time. Please email eve@upstream.tech to get in touch. ❤️

All this winter weather has us thinking about glaciers! 🏔 ❄️ Glaciers hold the stories of our planet’s past, present, and future—but they’re changing faster than ever. With Lens, researchers and conservationists can monitor these icy giants with precision and uncover actionable insights through key datasets, including: 🔹High-resolution true-color imagery to map glacier boundaries 🔹Snow index for tracking seasonal variations 🔹False-color infrared to distinguish ice, vegetation, and water 🔹Turbidity and surface water indices for monitoring ecosystem impacts ... and more! Our latest blog post penned by Head of Product for Lens, Abby Smith, dives into glacial monitoring from Alaska’s iconic mountain glaciers to the frozen landscapes of Svalbard. With better data and more accessible monitoring, Lens can help us protect these frozen archives for generations to come. 🔗 Read the blog and start exploring in Lens: https://hubs.la/Q031yDPW0

Happy holidays from Upstream! 🛰️ 🌟 As we get ready to log off for our annual winter week of R&R, we're closing out this year with gratitude. 2024 was a year of many firsts: new teams, new partners, and new product features, to name a few. None of this growth would have been possible without the hard work of our incredible people, which is why the Upstream crew takes a break during the holiday season. We'll be jet-setting, pack rafting, and catching up on our endless reading lists, but if you need us urgently, we've got customer support in place. To our friends, customers, teammates, and partners, thank you for joining us in managing and stewarding our most precious natural resources. (We'll share more stats, wins, and highlights from this year for both our products, Lens and HydroForecast, in the new year, so stay tuned!) We'll be back in 2025 recharged and ready to reach more milestones. See you next year! 👋
