Celebrating academic excellence! Chief Warrant Officer 5 Linc W. McCoy, with U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, was a guest speaker at a Distinguished Honors Assembly for students who earned a 3.75 grade point average or higher at Aberdeen High School on Feb. 26, 2025. McCoy talked about a few challenges he faced in high school, including moving multiple times. McCoy said he used those challenges to transform and adapt, and this ability to be flexible has helped him now as a Soldier. He said that by achieving academic success, the students also show flexibility and adaptability. He encouraged the students to “Be All You Can Be.” “Through transformation, you build character, something that will serve you well as you continue to achieve success beyond high school, so be proud of yourself,” McCoy told the students. “Recognize how much work you have done to able to get to this point.” At the end of the assembly, McCoy and school administrators congratulated each student who received an honor roll certificate. When the Soldiers of the 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment (4/23 INF) needed technical assistance and training to troubleshoot a Trailer Mounted Support System (TMSS) and Electronic Control Unit, they called on Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARs) from the CECOM Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC). LARs traveled to Joint Base Lewis-McChord and worked closely with the maintainers of the 4th Battalion, 23d Infantry Tomahawks to increase their readiness rate and give them the knowledge they need to keep these warfighters ready for any obstacles in their path. #CECOMILSC #ArmyCivilian #infantry #warfighter #weserve

The Army’s pigeon program, which began in 1917 under the orders of General John Pershing, was headquartered at Fort Monmouth under the Signal Corps from 1919 until its discontinuation in 1957. CECOM historian Susan Thompson returns in this latest episode of ‘From the CECOM Archive’ with more on the U.S. Army's carrier pigeons.
