ATLANTA – American Health Imaging, Inc. (“AHI”) and its former founder and CEO, Scott Arant, will pay the United States and the State of Georgia $5,250,000 to resolve allegations that they violated the False Claims Act by: (1) providing physicians with meals, tickets to sporting events, and other gifts to induce those physicians to refer diagnostic scans to AHI’s independent diagnostic testing facilities; and (2) entering into above fair market value personal services agreements with referring physicians to induce those physicians to refer scans to AHI. https://lnkd.in/eardVk8P

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia arranged four sessions of the COPS Office’s Managing Bias Training for Law Enforcement training with the Atlanta, Fayetteville, Doraville and Rome Police Departments. The Managing Bias training goals are to reduce the influence of bias in officers’ interactions and decision-making, contribute to improved police-community relations, and increase officer safety. Dozens of officers from agencies throughout the district completed the training, which was led by national instructors.

ATLANTA – Former residential halfway house employee, Tristan Cox, 33, of Atlanta, Georgia, made his initial appearance on November 13, 2024, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Justin S.
