Despite the necessity, over 90% of the target audience refuses to use overlay solutions. Here's why,🤔 👉A survey by WebAIM found that 72% of disabled accessibility experts rated overlays as "not at all" or "not very" effective, with only 2.4% considering them "very effective." **first comment 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 👉They provide a false sense of compliance, 🤷♀️ Many website owners mistakenly believe that implementing an overlay will make their site compliant with accessibility standards (like WCAG), but this is not true. A client forwarded a client objection to our team, asking for a response: “The overlay solution is blocking functionalities that help me navigate your website. The accessibility violations prevent me and other people from operating on the website in the same way as people without disabilities. Blockages by the accessibility plugin, missing labels, and a lack of hierarchy in the titles exist on the website even now.” The client wanted us to respond to this claim. If this client is sued, nothing will happen to them. They are technically compliant. Thousands of similar claims can be found online. Endless research proves the ineffectiveness of overlays. They did what everyone else did, and the court will see that. But if YOU want a functional solution for happy and loyal customers, consider an in-code approach that’s embedded into the DNA of the website. #Compliance #Accesability #Inclusivity

A year and a half ago, a credit card issuer initiated an external audit of their website for accessibility. 👉They weren’t sued, and no one brought it to their attention. 👉They just decided accessibility is important. 👉They sent us the report . 👉They have been using their overlay solution. We showed them a demo of our 𝗨𝟭 𝗶𝗻-𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and they loved it 😍. We’ve started working on the homepage (the most complex page) and lots of other main pages. By the way, our work is also audited by a third party, and the audit looked very different with the in-code solution. We love🤩 seeing companies and organizations step up to give their customers and prospects a better digital experience. So far, the process was one of the smoothest we ever went through.👍 👍 👍 We believe it's due to the client’s commitment to being a more inclusive company, which understands the benefits of this move. We salute 🍻 them for this move. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 🤝 #User1st #DigitalAccessibility #MobileAccessibility #ADACompliance #EuropeanAccessibilityAct #EAA #ADA #A11y
