A year and a half ago, a credit card issuer initiated an external audit of their website for accessibility. 👉They weren’t sued, and no one brought it to their attention. 👉They just decided accessibility is important. 👉They sent us the report . 👉They have been using their overlay solution. We showed them a demo of our 𝗨𝟭 𝗶𝗻-𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and they loved it 😍. We’ve started working on the homepage (the most complex page) and lots of other main pages. By the way, our work is also audited by a third party, and the audit looked very different with the in-code solution. We love🤩 seeing companies and organizations step up to give their customers and prospects a better digital experience. So far, the process was one of the smoothest we ever went through.👍 👍 👍 We believe it's due to the client’s commitment to being a more inclusive company, which understands the benefits of this move. We salute 🍻 them for this move. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 🤝 #User1st #DigitalAccessibility #MobileAccessibility #ADACompliance #EuropeanAccessibilityAct #EAA #ADA #A11y

More national initiatives pushing the 🇪🇺 📲 EU #Identity #Wallet. This time we want to see what's happening in the #Netherlands: ⬇ The Dutch Public ID Wallet is a collaborative initiative involving various stakeholders, including the Dutch government, ICTU (the Information and Communication Technology executive organisation), local municipalities, private sector entities, and European partners. The project is overseen by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and supported by Alexandra van Huffelen, the State Secretary for Digitalization. Purpose: The primary goal of the Dutch Public ID Wallet is to create a secure, user-friendly digital identity system based on the requirements of the eIDAS regulation, that empowers citizens to manage their personal data. This system aims to facilitate digital interactions with public and private services while enhancing privacy and security. The project also aims to reduce reliance on non-European technology companies by providing a government-backed alternative. Current Status: As of March 2024, the first working version of the ID Wallet has been released. This version includes essential functionalities like logging in with DigiD and adding personal identification cards #PID. Users can also store and manage their personal data securely within the wallet. The code and design details have been made publicly available on platforms like GitHub and Figma. (link in comments) Project Timeline 2023: Initial development and stakeholder engagement. Early design and planning phases. March 2024: Release of the first working version of the ID Wallet. 2025: Have at least one eIDAS2 compliant ID-Wallet recognised by the dutch government. 2024-2026: Extensive testing, user feedback integration, and functional enhancements. This phase includes specific use case testing, such as municipal logins and mortgage application processes. End of 2026: Expected general availability of the ID Wallet app in app stores for broader public use. Options to Participate The Dutch government encourages broad participation from citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders. Interested parties can participate in consultations and feedback, testing and pilot programs via the Pleio plattform. #EUDI #Wallet #Europe #eIDAS2
