The Board approved an agreement with the Department of Workforce Services to help bring healthy food to kids while schools are out of for the summer. School Safety Matters! The board learned about the new Utah School Safety Playbook, packed with resources to help schools stay safe. From improving safety plans to getting schools the support they need, the Board focused on keeping students protected. Hotline Updates! Changes were made to the rule about the USBE Public Education Hotline. These updates make sure everyone knows their role in making the hotline work smoothly for schools and families. The Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Discovery (CCID) in Providence has been chosen to represent Utah at the 2024 America Celebrates display in Washington, D.C.! Students created 35 stunning ornaments inspired by Utah’s natural beauty, which will shine on our state’s tree alongside others surrounding the National Christmas Tree. State Superintendent Sydnee Dickson shared, “It’s an honor for CCID to showcase Utah’s creativity and talent at this prestigious event.” Way to go, CCID!
