Every Friday night, stadium lights flash on and fans in purple or red file in. Before the crowd roars for touchdowns, they pull out their phones to connect to free Wi-Fi from the co-op. Pea River Electric Cooperative’s Brenda Overton shares on #StoryConnect how this tradition kicked off and why it might score for other #UtilityPioneers, too. https://lnkd.in/g24ZtW5y

Magic medicine, strength, horses, loggers and trash hunters were the themes of Pioneer’s Mike Teegarden’s favorite stories from 2024. Each of the five he chose to highlight inspires readers in different ways. We hope you enjoy these stories as much as Mike and our readers have, and they inspire ideas for features you can share in 2025. 1. One ornament symbolizes a full circle moment for Pioneer’s Justin Caudell. He grew up on co-op lines and graduated college debt free, thanks partly to a co-op scholarship! Justin knew he’d pay it forward one day, and that moment came when he was hired as Clay Electric Co-op’s communicator. He purchased this ornament his first Christmas working there, and it proved to be a small part of his story. What stories are hanging on your tree?
