Information Systems and Marketing Double Major | Founder and President of The UWL Women in Business Club | CBA Office Assistant - Data Analysis and Marketing Emphasis | Driven Leader

Yesterday, the UWL Women In Business Club had the incredible opportunity to visit Deloitte’s new Milwaukee office, and I’m so proud to have organized and recruited members to attend this cross school networking event. We were invited to Deloitte’s office for a day filled with networking and professional growth. With the support of the UW-La Crosse College of Business Administration, we brought 30 members to this amazing experience. During the visit, we connected with Deloitte professionals in tax, audit, and recruiting, building relationships and learning more about their career paths. We also toured their stunning office in the U.S. Bank building—such a welcoming and inspiring space! It was so rewarding to hear from our members about how much they appreciated this unique opportunity. Experiences like this help our club grow stronger, more connected, and more prepared for the professional world. Events like this remind me of the rewarding feeling that comes with managing a team and leading an amazing group of women. Thank you to Laura Philbin for the invitation to Deloitte and to all the members of WIB who were able to attend!

Finance Major at University of Wisconsin La Crosse

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit Deloitte’s new downtown Milwaukee office with the UWL Women In Business Club & WIB members from several other universities! During this event, we networked with peers as well as a panel of Deloitte’s professionals including audit, tax, and recruiting representatives. To add to the experience, we also received a tour of their brand new office in the U.S. Bank building. The collaborative set up also had gorgeous views of the city & Lake Michigan. Having Deloitte’s team provide career guidance was a highlight of the experience. Thank you to Deloitte, Erin Poggemann & the UW-La Crosse College of Business Administration for making this impactful learning opportunity possible!

Wrapping Up a Memorable Fall Semester at UWL This fall semester of my junior year at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse has been such a fun and rewarding journey filled with challenges, growth, and personal development opportunities. From thought-provoking classes to collaborative group projects and extracurricular activities, I’m truly grateful for all the experiences this semester has offered. 🎓 Academic Highlights: • MKT 309 - Principles of Marketing: My team and I developed a marketing plan to boost study abroad participation within the College of Business Administration (CBA). • MGT 308 - Organizational Behavior: We tackled a case study about an unmovable team and provided actionable strategies on leadership, team dynamics, and motivation. • ECO 230 - Data Analytics: In this class, we utilized R to create graphs, test data coding, and present findings with recommendations—a rewarding hands-on experience with data. • Dance Appreciation: A fun and creative class where my group collaborated to choreograph and perform a dance for our classmates! • Other Courses: I also explored key concepts in FIN 355 - Financial Principles and in NUT 400 - Food Science and Safety. 💼 Beyond the Classroom: • Women in Business (WIB): As an active member, I’ve had the chance to connect with incredible peers and professionals, gaining further insights into the business world. • Cru: It’s an honor to lead a discipleship group, where I guide and support amazing young women in their faith journeys. I’ve also had the joy of building deep friendships and growing in community. This year’s Fall Retreat was a highlight, where the junior class came together, engaged in team challenges, and celebrated an incredible win! This semester has been a blend of challenges and achievements, all of which have pushed me to grow academically, personally, and professionally. I’m excited to carry these lessons forward as I continue my journey at UWL and beyond!

Proud to have had the opportunity to organize the End of Semester Social for the UWL Women In Business Club this fall! As part of the Social Event Committee with Haley Thoeny, we worked to create a fun and engaging event for our members. A key part of the event was reaching out to KENT® Precision Foods Group, who generously provided free hot chocolate for everyone to enjoy. As well as providing a DIY yarn ornament craft, giving everyone a chance to relax and express their creativity during finals week. Grateful to have been a part of this project and to work alongside such an amazing team!
