If you're a US federal government employee and have been looking at attending #AdvancingResearch2025, see the details in Louis Rosenfeld's post about new pricing and availability. Be sure to check the comments on Lou's post for other discounts that are available to students, unemployed folks, and folks facing financial challenges. #UXR #UXResearch #ResearchConference #AR2025 #Conference
I have some actual good news for people who are employed by US federal government agencies: we are making Advancing Research 2025 conference and workshop tickets available for a nominal fee (not free, a no-no as per federal policy). The conference takes place virtually March 11-13, and workshops are happening in the weeks following. It includes a zillion session artifacts, so if you can't make the time to attend live, you'll have 90 days to access recordings, sketchnotes, decks, and more. I'm linking to the conference website in the first comment below. We've designed #AR2025 to help mid/senior-level researchers plan the next phase of their careers—and we are VERY bullish on the role of research in finding truth and making sense of this new world that is unfolding around us. If you're wondering what the future will mean for your career in research, this conference is just what you need. The conference is designed and led by Jemma Ahmed, Eduardo F. O., and Megan Blocker with help from the Rosenfeld team, has a stellar speaker lineup (including Maria Giudice, Robert Fabricant, Jamika D. Burge, PhD, Amy Santee, and Rachael Dietkus, LCSW), and includes an incredible array of workshops taught by Indi Young, Victor Udoewa, Llewyn Paine, Ph.D., Melissa Eggleston, Carol F. Scott, PhD, MSW, Archana Shah, and Subhasree Chatterjee. This is the sixth edition of Advancing Research, and employees of US federal agencies have always been a part of the conference. We'd hate short-sighted federal policies to close the conference off to the people who are responsible for improving and even saving the lives of so many people in the US and beyond. If you know a federal worker who has a hand in #UXresearch #UserResearch #DesignResearch, #MarketResearch, #QuantResearch, #QualResearch, or #DataScience, please consider tagging them below. Thanks!

In January, we hosted Ruby Pryor to talk about about how #UXRs can have more impact. Ruby started with a 'state of UXR' assessment for 2025 that we felt was very aware and insightful. Flip through the slides to review the 3 trends Ruby sees that are shaping the field of UX research today.
