  • New SAQ A Eligibility FAQ—What does it mean for e-commerce merchants?   The PCI SSC just released an FAQ clarifying the updated SAQ A eligibility criteria for e-commerce merchants, and there are some key takeaways worth discussing.   Firstly, if you fully outsource your e-commerce operations to a PCI DSS compliant third-party service provider (TPSP), or your website is redirecting to a PCI DSS compliant TPSP's hosted payment page, then there are no changes for you. However, if you use an in-line frame (iFrame) to embed a PCI DSS compliant TPSP's hosted payment form or fields in your website, then you have to confirm that the website is not susceptible to attacks from scripts that could affect the e-commerce system(s). You can do this is two ways: 1. Using techniques such as those detailed in PCI DSS Requirements 6.4.3 and 11.6.1; 2. Obtaining confirmation from the PCI DSS compliant TPSPs/payment processor providing the embedded payment page/form(s) that, when implemented according to the TPSP’s/payment processor’s instructions, the TPSP’s/payment processor’s solution includes techniques that protect your payment page from script attacks.   Merchants should work with their payment processors and web developers to ensure that their e-commerce systems are implemented according to guidance from the payment processors.   This FAQ reinforces the need for clear, well-documented payment architectures and proactive security strategies. Merchants should review their implementations now to avoid last-minute compliance challenges.   What are your thoughts on these updates? How will they impact the broader e-commerce ecosystem?   Read the full FAQ here: https://lnkd.in/gQrVcpSM. #PCIDSS #PCI #Compliance #eCommerce #SAQA

  • The DISA breach exposed 3.3 million individuals – including employees at major global companies. A reminder that even the most trusted organizations are vulnerable to cyber threats. Breaches, including DISA’s, are going undetected for months and unreported even longer – giving attackers a dangerous head start. To keep sensitive employee data secure, organizations must: - Detect threats faster with AI-powered monitoring and real-time alerts. - Lock down critical data by securing access points and reducing attack surfaces. - Respond swiftly to contain damage and notify those affected. Cyber threats aren’t slowing down. Faster detection and stronger defenses aren’t optional – they’re essential. • Even hackers are warning that AI security needs a serious overhaul. At this year's DEF CON hacker conference, ethical hackers said that AI systems are still too easy to probe—raising concerns about what bad actors could do. The main reason? Unlike traditional software, AI vulnerabilities emerge unpredictably, making one-time security tests insufficient. Without stronger security practices, these risks will only continue to grow. To get ahead, business leaders must: - Reevaluate security strategies and focus on proactive defense measures. - Leverage advanced technology like continuous monitoring and threat intelligence to stay ahead of evolving threats. - Consider outsourcing cyber expertise to strengthen resilience.
