Volt Energy Utility Founder and CEO Gilbert Campbell shared bold ideas at The Philadelphia Citizen’s #IWSSFest presented by Comcast NBCUniversal. The talk was focused on ensuring green jobs include Black talent, how Volt is building a diverse talent pipeline in clean energy and advancing diversity in clean energy, and emphasized these key points: ✅ Environmental Justice: Showcased the Environmental Justice Power Purchase Agreement (#EJPPA), integrating equity into renewable energy for underserved communities. ✅ Redlining: Examined the long-term impacts of 1930s redlining on urban neighborhoods and environmental disparities. ✅ Community Investments: Highlighted the Sharing the Power Foundation’s grants support organizations like GoodrCo., founded by Jasmine Crowe-Houston.
