By being part of preserving the history of the Lower Susquehanna Trail in Maryland, #VulcanMaterials has made a positive impact on its future. Our partnership with Susquehanna Heritage Greenway involved creating an easement that allows people to go around our quarry to walk the entire nature trail. #TheVulcanWay

Earlier this month, Chad McDougal, Vice President of Safety, Health and Environmental, participated in a roundtable discussion led by the U.S. Department of Labor regarding opioid use. The meeting was to discuss the release of a new opioid resource guide to help the mining industry implement effective workplace solutions to prevent opioid use disorder. The new resource guide can be found at: https://lnkd.in/dwWfdf2C At #VulcanMaterials, our goal is to bring awareness to this issue and create the conditions that eliminate the stigma, promote open and honest conversations, strengthen prevention efforts, and improve access to treatment.
