Today we have our Annual Walk with Scott ❤️ Our flagship event. 14 miles around our beautiful garden country of East Lothian in Scotland. All ages, all abilities. Delighted to be joined with Beyond Boundaries East Lothian with their trikes this year too 🫶. Raising funds for The Haven, an arm of Edinburgh Sick Kids, which supports local children with mental health challenges, and their families. Absolutely delighted to have hosted our Walk with Scott Foundation Charity Day at the fabulous EH32 Live in Cockenzie House & Gardens yesterday ❤️. Great live music from local bands, including two bands from our local High school 🎶❤️ 🫶. HUGE thanks to everyone who supported on the day. £1,040 was raised where every penny from yesterday, will be added to the sponsorship from our 12th Annual Walk with Scott on 31st August, and is going to 'The Haven' Project who support young people with mental health challenges and their families ❤️. Couldn't be more proud x

In turn this will help us to raise awareness and vital funds for WWSF; and means we can help more in the future. This will help us to raise vital for our main Walk cause this year, The Haven❤️ The Haven. As you may know, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity (ECHC) launched The Haven, its Tranent-based children’s mental health service in September last year in response to the growing mental health crisis facing children and young people. Since opening, over 1,900 children, young people and families have come through the doors of The Haven seeking support. Rempods ( Reminisence Pods for Dementia patients) - update ♥️ We had a VERY successful Rempod-Recce this evening, and we're really pleased to report that all five frames are in excellent condition! Just a few bits missing sadly, but after 7 years, we're really pleased at how they are looking, so it's just a case of us replenishing the wee additional bits that help create the memories 🫶. We'll be back in touch over the next month or two to let you know when all five will be available to borrow. A perfect addition to our local Care Homes, Day Centres and Community Groups, to help with the wellbeing of our wonderful older loved ones with dementia. As one daughter said to us when we first rolled these out... "I got my mum back for five minutes"... A completely priceless comment and affect 🫶 We're also going to put together an inventory so that those using the Rempods can see what's included (and can ensure everything is returned for the next users). We'll also include additional things we would suggest, such as ice cream and sand for the 'Beach scene' to help stimulate further senses. These Rempods are one of our Foundation's proudest achievements. They were purchased using our fundraising sums from our 5th Walk with Scott in 2017, And we CANNOT wait to get them back out in circulation again across East Lothian ♥️ It's only fitting that we share the original video again, showing all five at our Launch in July 2017 🫶 x #walkwithscottfoundation #makingtheimpossiblepossible
