As sport continues to evolve, so does the need to connect with a global fanbase. With hundreds of millions of potential fans worldwide, it’s essential to invest in overseas markets. 💭 This was one of the key takeaways from the webinar we hosted last Thursday: “Playing Away: Tackling New International Markets in Sport”. Our panel delved into why stakeholders in sport are turning their focus to new international audiences, the challenges involved, and the medium- to long-term strategies for success. Excited to share that Wasserman recently participated in the Black Beauty Creators Summit in Los Angeles - hosted by the Black Beauty Roster - to provide thought leadership in the space. Associate Manager, Creator Partnerships Hallie Pullum shared her insights and perspectives on how Black women content creators can continue to build their businesses, audience and influence. This event and initiative comes in response to BBR’s research that found ‘Black creators make 35% less but are often the trendsetters and culture creators.’ We are glad we were able to help bridge the gap and look forward to participating in more events that support the success of the diverse creator economy. #TeamWass

🌍 Join us for our next webinar as we explore the accelerating globalization of sport 🌍 The race to reach new audiences may be nothing new, but the last decade has seen a step-change in the way sport, and its constituent stakeholders, have approached global expansion. International games now punctuate the sports calendar with more being added every year, a tactic symbolizing the wider trend of teams, leagues and partners attempting to embed their brand and product into new overseas territories. So, what’s driving this investment, how can you do it successfully, and what of the potential pushback from fans back home? These are just some of the many questions we’ll seek to answer in this webinar, with the help of industry heavyweights Stacy McWilliams - Los Angeles Lakers, Yusuf Jackson - South African Rugby Union (SA Rugby), Kelhem Salter - Major League Baseball (MLB), and Simon Freedman - Booking.com. It's always a privilege to have our partners, Switch The Play Foundation, join us in our London office. Earlier this month, we hosted our latest Athlete Experience Day - an initiative run in collaboration with the foundation, which is dedicated to helping athletes and ex-athletes transition into a life outside of sport. Throughout the day, which included a panel discussion and a Q&A with #TeamWass employees, 20 athletes were given a real-life showcase of what a career in sport and entertainment looks like, alongside insight on the various routes into the industry. A wonderful and rewarding day. Check out a few of our favourite photos 📸
