⚠️SCAM ALERT⚠️ There has been an uptick in report of 'Smishing' (SMS phishing) attempts targeting Massachusetts drivers. They appear to be from E-ZPass and claim you owe toll fees. The link will redirect you to a site that steals your personal information and money. DO NOT click or paste these links into your browser. Here's how to tell - The message is coming from an international phone number or an email address - The message says FasTrak (like the one pictured). FasTrak tolls only exist in the state of California and it is FasTrak, not FastTrak. Typos are another indication of a scam. - A sense of urgency: the scammer is trying to scare you by saying things like "to avoid a fine and keep your license." The real Massachusetts E-ZPass never sends out text messages, so if you receive a text, delete it immediately. If you think you might owe money, you should check your account balance through the traditional E-ZPass website.
