WECC promotes bulk power system reliability and security in the Western Interconnection. WECC is the Regional Entity responsible for compliance monitoring and enforcement and oversees reliability planning and assessments. In addition, WECC provides an environment for the development of Reliability Standards and the coordination of the operating and planning activities of its members as outlined in the WECC Bylaws.

NERC’s 2024–2025 Winter #Reliability Assessment finds that while regulatory and industry initiatives have improved winter #readiness, many parts of North America are once again at an elevated risk of #energy shortfalls under extreme conditions. Similar to last year, no areas are identified as having a high #risk of energy shortfalls in extreme weather conditions and all areas are expected to have adequate #resources under normal #winter peak load conditions. https://lnkd.in/gzf2PGKi
