Please join WELD in congratulating Sharon Dumas, as WELD’s 2024 National Volunteer of the Year, Kate Visconti as E-Chapter Volunteer of the Year and both Aimee Barcus and Kathleen Clark as Classic Chapter Volunteers of the Year! These women go the extra mile in their respective roles to continue to deliver on the WELD mission, support our members and volunteers and keep WELD moving forward both nationally and in their regions. Sharon Dumas, Senior Implementation Manager, Brand Partner Delivery, Bread Financial, has held nearly every type of major leadership role, for the Columbus Chapter and Nationally since she joined WELD. This year, she returned as co-chair of WELD’s corporate board conference, and she was also returned as the lead volunteer or “the conductor” for the African American Directors Forum. WELD President & CEO Barb Smoot shares that “Sharon excels in every role and sticks the landing even for our most challenging of events. My confidence and trust in her leadership and ability to deliver are unwavering. She has come to my rescue more times than I can count!” Kate Visconti, Founder & CEO, Five to Flow, was instrumental in the launch of the WELD California chapter and now serves on the WELD National Advisory Council. This year she also co-chaired WELD’s Tell It Like It Is Thursday® webinar series where she helped identify topics and secured speakers. It has been terrific having her innovative thought and energy be a part of WELD to take us to new heights. Barb and WELD COO Deepa Kellar are in complete agreement that “the stars were aligned when we got connected to Kate. She is a leader of her word and her actions demonstrate her appreciation for our mission.” Aimee Barcus, Portfolio Manager, Huntington National Bank, and Kathleen Clark, Vice President, FHN Financial, have been the supercharged dynamic duo co-leading the WELD Columbus chapter leadership series and new member programs for over 2 years. Their deep knowledge of and passion for WELD have attracted members to the organization and helped them quickly get onboarded. Deepa explains, “With Aimee and Kathleen in their roles, all bases are covered. They know this organization and what we need so well that they could easily be mistaken as employees of WELD! We are fortunate to have them." We are grateful that these amazing women choose to share their time and talent with WELD. Congratulations to these outstanding leaders! #WELDUSA #WELDVolunteers #VolunteerToday #VolunteerApperciation
