The third and final Crosswalk Education and Enforcement or "Frogger" event for 2024 as part of the Yield to Your Neighbor campaign took place last week. This pedestrian safety effort saw the most law enforcement partners, 7 departments, as well as the most amount of locations, 14 intersections, across Brown County. Here are the totals across all three events. While the Frogger efforts have ended, always yield to your neighbor in a crosswalk because it's safer, it's courteous, and it's the law. The 2024 Yield to Your Neighbor campaign is supported by an ARPA subaward from Brown County Public Health. Special thanks to our law enforcement partners this year which include Ashwaubenon Public Safety, Brown County Sheriff's Office, De Pere Police Department, Green Bay Police Department, Hobart-Lawrence Police Department, Pulaski Police Department, and UW-Green Bay Police Department!

Yesterday was the final "Frogger" safety pedestrian or Crosswalk Education and Enforcement effort of 2024 as part of the Yield to Your Neighbor campaign! While these pedestrian efforts are done for the year, remember to always yield to a person in the crosswalk when behind the wheel. And as pedestrians, make sure to always cross at a crosswalk and activate signals when possible to help make yourself more visible to motorists. We'll share the results of yesterday's efforts next week. And as always, yield to your neighbor because it's safer, it's courteous, and it's the law.

Every October 3rd, Wello celebrates the Day of Well-Being in Brown County as proclaimed by Brown County, City of Green Bay, and City of De Pere. To celebrate this year, Wello teamed up with the Brown County United Way and Schreiber Foods volunteers to make and share well-being bags for our community. The bags consisted of locally, sourced produce from Seasonal Harvest, cheese donated by Schreiber, and hygiene products that were delivered to the homes of clients of Innovative Services, Inc. thanks to the Brown County HubCAP. Today was an example of building well-being in action by bringing partners and resources together to meet the needs of our community!

Earlier this week, Wello's Project Manager - Food Systems, Dareios Moore, was invited by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) to Nourish Farms, Inc.. It was a fantastic chance to see Wisconsin Farm-to-School Grant projects and network with other leaders in farm-to-school and Early Childhood Education. We shared resources, enjoyed delicious food, and had nourishing conversations while touring the facilities. Governor Tony Evers was in attendance as the State shared their ideas to support Farm to School efforts!
