We are proud to announce the expansion of Analytics at Wharton into the new Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative. Under the leadership of Eric Bradlow, Vice Dean for AI & Analytics at Wharton, we are investing in AI research, curricular enhancements, industry-academia collaboration, and open-source resources to fuel business innovation with generative AI and analytics. The Wharton AI & Analytics Initiative will engage scholars across Wharton’s ten academic departments, exploring AI’s impact on marketing, finance, investing, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and workforce productivity, as well as considering AI’s ethical and accountability impact. #WhartonAI

Can AI be trusted to handle stock trading? A recent study of AI traders' behavior in financial market environments produced interesting results: "In some cases ... they converge on collusive behavior," explains Itay Goldstein, who co-authored the study alongside fellow The Wharton School finance professor Winston Dou. This week, Goldstein and colleagues from the Wharton Initiative on Financial Policy and Regulation (WIFPR) collaborated with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on a conference exploring the impact of AI and other emerging technologies on finance.
