🌍 Advancing Women’s Leadership in Business 🌍 The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations (UN) in 2015, serve as a global framework for a more inclusive and prosperous future. Among them, SDG 5 – Gender Equality aims to eliminate discrimination, violence, and systemic barriers faced by women and girls.   However, despite nearly a decade of commitments, progress has been slow and uneven, with many challenges still standing ahead of us: 📌 Legal and Policy Gaps – While 155+ countries have laws against domestic violence, enforcement is inconsistent, and women still have only three-quarters of the legal rights afforded to men. 📌 Access to Digital Tools – Women are 17% less likely than men to use the internet, with the gap widening to 43% in the least developed countries, limiting career and business opportunities. 📌 Leadership Representation – Women now hold 26.5% of parliamentary seats globally, up from 22% in 2015, but remain underrepresented in executive and boardroom roles. 🌟 Meet Richárd Végh, Advisory Board Member of the WILL Foundation 🌟 📈 Richárd Végh is a prominent leader in Hungary’s financial sector, serving as Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2016. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Richárd has been instrumental in shaping Hungary’s capital markets and advancing sustainable financial growth. As CEO of BSE, he champions efforts to make Hungary’s capital market more dynamic, transparent, and aligned with global best practices. 💡 His leadership journey began at BSE, where he held various roles from 2004 to 2013 before transitioning to the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) as Director of the Capital Market Supervision Directorate.
