Since the beginning, we’ve been committed to building a stronger support system for moms — not just when it comes to pumping and breastfeeding, but at every stage of their journey. So we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our partner Ema - The AI for Women, the first conversational AI tool specializing in women’s health, in the Willow app. Clinically validated and trained by experts, Ema can answer questions on topics ranging from plugged ducts to periods to perimenopause. Unlike search engines, responses are personalized and reviewed by real people, so you get information you can trust. And unlike chatbots, Ema can communicate with empathy and compassion — giving moms what they need when life feels crazy. Because moms deserve a village. And moms deserve better. Download the FREE Willow App to learn more about Ema and feel more supported in your postpartum journey. ✨

"The status quo Is. Not. Ok. Breastfeeding rates, rates of under-treated maternal mental health disorders, and rates of maternal mortality Are. Not. Ok. And, we at Willow are on a mission to create change." We believe that moms deserve better in their postpartum and parenting journeys. That’s why our CEO, Sarah O'Leary, recently sat down with The Mother Chapter to share her personal postpartum experience and how that's fueled her commitment to improve women's health technology and advocate for better support for mothers. A Haunted House for moms who pump at work 👻⬇️ 😱 "Can’t you just pump in the bathroom?” 😱 "No, we don’t have a fridge where you can store your breast milk.” 😱 “You’re going to distract your coworkers if you pump at your desk.” 😱 “You’ve got 10 mins, make it quick.” 😱 "Oops, sorry didn’t realize you were pumping in here.” Halloween might be filled with fright, but the horrors working moms face are way scarier. If you’re returning to work from maternity leave and plan to pump, It’s important to understand your rights and the support your workplace is legally required to give you. We are heartbroken by the images of devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and Milton — and the stories shared by members of the Willow team who call North Carolina and Florida home. We know that pumping and breastfeeding can't stop for a natural disaster. So we're glad to be able to donate breast pumps to Baby2Baby, an organization that does critical work for moms and families in need. Our hope is that the ability to pump hands-free will give moms just a little bit of their time back, and help them focus on their road to recovery without being tethered to the wall. We are incredibly proud Willow Go was named the BEST Wearable Breast Pump in 2024 by Babylist! But what's even more exciting is the input from parents - real Willow Go moms - that helped make this happen. "After testing multiple wearables, talking with lactation experts and considering feedback from thousands of parents, we recommend the Willow Go as the best wearable breast pump for most pumpers. It outperforms the competition and offers value, efficiency and customization options to maximize on-the-go pumping sessions." We invented a better way to pump that provides moms with more comfort, more support, more freedom and more milk because that's what moms deserve. "I think there’s so much power in motherhood — this essential power of giving life and nurturing families. I like to imagine how we can shape the world if we recognize and lean into that collective power." We love this soundbite from our CEO Sarah O'Leary who sat down with the Maternal Care Institute to talk about the future of maternal care, how she balances "work life" and "mom life," what she'd do with a magic wand, and more. 💡 This week, our BrightMinds series features Sarah O'Leary from Willow Innovations, Inc., the femtech company that revolutionized the breast pumping experience and invented the first all-in-one wearable breast pump, and mom of two.💡 She shares her hopes for the maternal care industry in the future. Sarah shares, "Women are starting to take more control of their own health and fill in the gap where the healthcare system isn't working with tools like tracking apps, digital communities, and content creators. We have a long way to go but when we demand better for our health and well-being, we help create systematic change." We have always been driven by the belief that moms deserve better — not just when it comes to breastfeeding, but at every point along their postpartum and parenting journeys. This is why we're so proud to share a recap of our CEO Sarah O'Leary's recent trip to the Capitol with our partners at Chamber of Mothers. The focus was on policy, not politics — paid family leave, affordable childcare, reversing the maternal mortality rate, and finding ways to help American families flourish. Our “why” is simple: we’re fighting for the women who aren’t able to advocate for themselves, whether that’s because they’re deep in the early days of motherhood, or lacking the support structures necessary to speak out and speak up. These conversations are so important, and we're honored to have them alongside the Chamber of Mothers team. For more on our trip, including ways to learn about the issues we discussed in D.C., check out our blog.

After the alarming but not surprising advisory from the US Surgeon General last week, our CEO Sarah O'Leary spoke with Motherly® about activism to improve the mental health and well-being of moms. To quote Sarah, "There is power in the broader community of moms, and when we come together to demand better we help drive systemic change.” At Willow, our attention has always focused on mom - how we support her physical health, mental health, and feeding journey. It's the entire reason why we invented the first in-bra wearable breast pump. And, it's why we're partnering with Chamber of Mothers to challenge the status quo. Together, we’re advocating for a better maternal experience in America and encouraging all moms to use their voice and their values to Vote Like A Mother. Because moms deserve more than the status quo. Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/gA9V5FMK
