In my “newborn era” I was obsessed with baby sleep. I think I literally read the entire internet and followed every baby sleep influencer, in search of answers to questions like “why doesn’t my baby seem tired in the standard wake windows”? Did you see this? Amazon just shuttered a 4-year project developing an at-home fertility tracker, laying off 100 employees and writing off $1.5M in weekly overhead costs. I don't know if the fertility tracker worked but the question isn't just why this specific project failed - it's why women's health innovations so often get sidelined at large companies. When women's health is treated as just a side project rather than a core business focus, we shouldn't be surprised when it gets cut when budgets are reviewed. This is exactly why at Midi Health, we believe women's healthcare needs dedicated companies with singular focus. And if you dig deeper into the numbers is shows that there is genuine need for this:  -Women's health represents a $1T+ market opportunity -1 in 2 women struggle with menopause symptoms alone -Only 1.7% of VC funding goes to women-founded companies -Most women's health projects at major tech firms get shut down before launch This isn't a niche market - it's half the population. So why are we consistently treating it like it’s one?  Serving this market also requires deep expertise, commitment, and a genuine understanding of women's needs.
