About us
At WingMate, our goal is to promote conservational efforts and raise awareness of endemic bird species of New Zealand's natural landscapes, and its unique ecosystems, through creating an engaging platform for exploring the bird based fauna located there. We believe that birdwatching should be accessible to more inexperienced audiences, and as such, we aim to make birdwatching easier to start and enjoy, by incentivising the hobby with a fun and entertaining system.

Introducing Wingmate to the world. After a year of development, I'm thrilled to announce its launch. Inspired during a trip to New Zealand, Wingmate is a mobile app designed to engage people with nature through Birdwatching through a fun and interactive experience. The app will debut in New Zealand, with plans to expand to Australia soon. It's an app that aims to make birdwatching accessible through an interactive birdwatching app. A little about myself - I'm Brandon, an avid birdwatcher since age 9. I've observed over 550 species in Australia and 600 in Southern Africa. As I complete my degree at UTS, I aim to make a difference by promoting environmental engagement using my technology skills. I've been fortunate to have a talented team Anurag Majumder Rowan J. helping create Wingmate. Stay tuned - more coming soon!
