WolfBrown is an arts research and planning consultancy that builds equity and sustainability sector-wide.
About us
WolfBrown helps funders, nonprofit institutions and public agencies understand their potential, set priorities and fulfill their promise. While arts and culture is a focus of our work, we also serve important clients in the social service, health, environment, preservation, and other sectors. At the heart of our work is the belief that every human being has a unique creative voice of intrinsic worth and that every community has a responsibility to awaken, nurture, and sustain its cultural capital. These and other core values drive everything that we do, from research and evaluation to strategic planning. The guiding philosophy of our work is engagement – engaging nonprofit leadership, their funders, and stakeholders in honest discussions about effectiveness and value, engaging audiences and visitors in deeper and more meaningful experiences, and engaging whole communities in the bold act of envisioning their future.

We're excited to be attending the 2025 Theatre for Young Audiences/USA National Festival & Conference. Our own Kathleen Hill will be co-presenting "Behind the Scenes of Óyeme - Implementation and Impact of Theatre Workshops for Immigrant Youth" along with Hilda Lee Tijerina and Sami Topping during a breakout session block. If you're attending the workshop, mark Thursday, May 8th from 11:00am to 12:15pm in your calendar. During the 2023-2024 school year, Imagination Stage, Inc. collaborated with WolfBrown to elevate data collection strategies, building a consent-based program evaluation. Rooted in stakeholder feedback, the evaluation supports IStage’s reporting and programming needs as well as the needs of its newcomer communities. In this session, both organizations will share how the co-developed data collection process continues to help IStage cultivate a trauma-informed program where students are encouraged to become active partners in their own educational experience. Many members of the WolfBrown team enjoy being active in supporting their arts communities. This past week, WolfBrown Principal Dr. Thomas Wolf gave a pre-concert lecture in Portland, Maine, for a program featuring the Maine premiere of Joy Steppin’, a vibrant new work by composer Nokuthula 'Thula' Endo Ngwenyama 🎶 After the inspiring performance, Dr. Wolf took a moment to snap a picture with the talented musicians of the chamber group Espressivo. #WolfBrown #ChamberMusic #JoySteppin #CultureIsPlural #ThomasWolf

Some musicians give superb performances into their nineties and even at a hundred years of age. Others should quit decades earlier. For those in the music business, when is old, too old? My blog today provide the answer and I have already gotten some very interesting responses https://lnkd.in/ekab87PN
