Tips & Tricks: Ways to Elevate Your Show Are you a seasoned podcaster looking for ways to keep your show fresh and engaging? Here are some ways to elevate your show. Focus on Audience Engagement and Growth: While many seasoned podcasters have loyal audiences, ongoing engagement is key to growth. Try a few things that you may have been afraid to attempt: 💥 Live Q&A sessions or live streams where listeners can interact directly. 💥 Exclusive content for subscribers (bonus episodes, behind-the-scenes clips). 💥 Listener feedback loops by asking questions at the end of episodes or running polls on social platforms. Optimize Audio Quality with Advanced Techniques: Level-up your already outstanding audio with these tips: 💥 Dynamic range compression to ensure consistent volume levels. 💥 Advanced noise reduction tools to minimize ambient noise and distractions. 💥 Sound design for mood setting: Consider incorporating subtle background music, sound effects, or ambient audio to enhance the listener’s experience. Monetize with High-Level Strategies: If you’re already monetizing, diversify and strengthen your revenue streams: 💥 Premium content membership using platforms like Patreon or Supercast. 💥 Sponsored segments instead of full-episode ads, making the promotion feel more integrated. 💥 Product lines related to your podcast’s theme, whether it’s merchandise, courses, or even branded events. Leverage Data Analytics for Strategic Decisions: You most likely already have a wealth of data about your listeners. Dig deeper into: 💥 Audience demographics and behavior to tailor content, focusing on what resonates the most. 💥 Episode performance analysis to spot trends in engagement - figure out what topics, formats, or guests drive the most listens or shares. 💥 Test different formats, titles, or release times to refine your strategy based on performance metrics. Explore Cross-Promotion and Collaborations: Collaborating with other podcasters in your niche can dramatically expand your audience. 💥 Be a guest on other shows to introduce yourself to new listeners. 💥 Exchange shout-outs or promos with other podcasters and creators. 💥 Create a limited series with another podcaster to tap into each other’s listeners and followers. Even if you attempt just a few of these strategies, they will help ensure your show will continuously evolve, reach new audiences, and stay relative in the podcasting space. MIC DROP/DROPPED MIC One of the segments in Women Who Podcast magazine is Mic Drop/Dropped the Mic. Mic Drop is the good; Dropped the Mic is the not so good. 👍👎 This segment is all about what's happening in the podcast industry. Here's a few excerpts from the October issue: Mic Drop: RODE has launched the RODECaster Video, an all-in-one video and audio production console. Pricing is a cool $1,199 UUS). The original RODECaster Pro units, which are audio-only, launched in 2018. Dropped the Mic: Spotify's podcast analytics platform, Chartable, will be closed down as part of a re-focus at the company. Mic Drop: In the US, podcasts are the most trusted media source for registered voters - beating newspapers, TV, AM/FM radio, or social media. That's according to the new research from Voxtopica, which also says that 63% of registered voters say that podcasts change their opinions on issues or topics in the news. Nearly half of all registered voters in the US listen to podcasts each week. Dropped the Mic: Streamyard increased its monthly pricing by 80% and will automatically apply that price to existing subscribers in October. Pricing has moved from $25 to $44.99 a month; the company removed its pricing from its public website in July. LOW HANGING MICROPHONE One of the segments in Women Who Podcast magazine is Low Hanging Microphone. It's a play on the corporate term low hanging fruit - which is not my favorite so I put a twist on it. In the October issue of Women Who Podcast magazine, the segment discussed Podcast Guest Acquisition Strategies. Here's a snippet of the article: Getting guests on your podcast can significantly elevate its content and expand your audience. Here are some effective strategies to get that “perfect” guest on your show. Leverage Your Network ⭐ Start with people you know. Reach out to friends, colleagues, and acquaintances who have relevant knowledge or experiences. ⭐ Ask for referrals. If you’ve already had guests, ask them if they can recommend someone in their circle who might be a good fit. Cold Outreach ⭐ Email outreach: Research potential guests, find their contact information, and send them personalized emails explaining why they’d be a great fit for your show. ⭐ Social media: DM potential guests on platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram. Keep it professional and concise, but highlight what makes your podcast interesting to them. Guest Pitch Platforms ⭐ Use platforms like Podchaser or MatchMaker.fm, where podcasters and potential guests connect. ⭐ Join Facebook groups or LinkedIn communities for podcasting, where many people offer themselves as guests. COVER FEATURED PODCASTER! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ann Lucente does everything with her whole heart. There’s no more accurate description that leaps to mind after hearing about the journey which led her to create her podcast, Time to Elevate, an interview-based show, interspersed with a plethora of topical episodes ranging from “Resuscitating a Dream” to “Does Constructive Criticism Really Exist?” Yet this isn’t any run-of-the-mill podcast relating to typical life advice and viewpoints. To say Ann is different feels like an understatement, and that’s apparent immediately. Interestingly, she recently described her podcast to a potential guest as somewhat of a “tapestry of stories.” And that feels close, although to talk with Ann for even five minutes, guests and listeners will experience more of a cozy, quilt-like feeling. Ann is the warm, engaging, funny host who can always find a way to relate to, and elevate, any situation. This is because Ann’s humanity is so overt, her curiosity constantly piqued and her interest always genuine. She disregards anything surface level, and only wants the crux of what makes you, you. It wouldn’t be unheard of to cry and laugh, and cry again, in the first 30 minutes of your time with Ann; and it would feel like you’d known her forever the whole time.
