About us

Women continue to face a multitude of barriers in the workplace, which are often compounded with prejudices such as racism, ableism, and ageism. These inequities are more than just a moral issue; holding back over half the world’s population is negatively impacting us all, including businesses. The WORK180 team is dedicated to removing these barriers, and we do this by focusing on our mission: To give every woman the power of informed choice when making career decisions. We shine a spotlight on workplace policies, benefits and initiatives, so that all women can make more informed decisions about where they choose to work *by women, we mean all who identify and/or experience oppression as a woman (including cis, trans, intersex, non-binary or gender non-conforming individuals).

  • In a statement to TMZ, Blake Lively says: "I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.” Amber Heard has shared her support and many people are now looking at the similarities between the negative press coverage of both actresses, as well as many other public cases of a similar nature.  “Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying ‘A lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on.’ I saw this firsthand and up close. It’s as horrifying as it is destructive,” Amber Heard said on Monday in a statement to NBC News. Heard made the statement after Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment and retaliation complaint with California Civil Rights Department. Justin Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman, has released a statement: "It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr. Baldoni... as yet another desperate attempt to 'fix' her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film; interviews and press activities that were observed publicly, in real time and unedited, which allowed for the internet to generate their own views and opinions..." • Back in 1982, a whopping 43% of fathers admitted they’d never changed a diaper. In recent years, that number went down to about 3%. Millennial dads are breaking traditional parenting molds, taking on roles like regular night shifts with newborns and actively participating in school meetings at higher rates than previous generations. According to the Pew Research Center, millennial fathers spend three times more hours on childcare than dads did in 1965. A 2016 Pew study also revealed that 57% of millennial dads view parenthood as a core part of their identity, just one percentage point shy of mothers at 58%. When fatherhood is deeply ingrained in their sense of self, dads naturally invest more time and effort into raising their children. #fatherhood #genderequity
