🌏🤖Hardware Meetup Community Update!🌏🤖The humanoid robotic market is expected to grow from $2.03 billion in 2024 to $13.25 billion by 2029 as it surges across a multitude of sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, security and space exploration. Last month, 700 hardware pros came out to Studio 45 for SF Tech Week to hear from companies working at the forefront of the industry, like Red Rabbit Robotics, Boost VC and K-Scale Labs. Shout out to AutoPCB, informal client ELTRA Electric Trailers, and the many other companies that also participated! We're really excited about this space and have hundreds of experienced informal members ready to help tackle its biggest challenges. Reach out to Sam Holland or Nate Padgett to discuss your next project! 👉 https://lnkd.in/ecGxZ8YK
Things got spooky at Studio 55 last night! 🎃 Nonfiction, a Studio 55-based industrial design firm, hosted a Halloween party for the books!… or in this case, the screens! The theme: Stanley Kubrick. The trick/treat: Dress up as a Kubrick character, mingle, and eat expertly crafted food from each movie! And guests SHOWED UP! Appearances were made from The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Full Metal Jacket, Spartacus, Clockwork Orange, and more. We had 3 rooms of various Kubrick films playing the whole night, a digital photobooth, and mashups galore. A haunting time was had! Each year Nonfiction chooses a different movie theme for their Halloween party, so we cannot wait to see what next year will be! Thank you to Nonfiction, Makelab, and Casa Azul Spirits, for co-creating an epic Halloween celebration here at Studio. Thank you to everyone who joined last night, and for bringing the magic of #Halloween to Studio 55! 🎃👻
🎃 Prepare to be transported into Stanley Kubrick's world as we celebrate this visionary director with our friends from Nonfiction, Makelab, and informal with sponsor Casa Azul Spirits on Halloween, Thursday October 31st! Dress up as one of his infamous characters, and act the part! 🐓 Early birds get a discounted price. There are limited tickets, so don't wait till the last minute to secure your spot to this uniquely interactive mash-up of intriguing characters, luscious libations, and cultural filmography! Big congrats to long time Studio 45 members from PulseJet: John Gearty, Brian Addison, Lindsay LaBonté, Gary Stein, Jay Young, Florent Morin and Nathan Batiste for launching their Vision Pro app! We’re so excited to see you hit this momentous milestone! Be on the lookout for workshops from the PulseJet team in the near future on VR, Final Cut Pro, 360 Video, and making music videos with their 360 green screen at Studio 45 🤩 #AVP #VisionPro #VR #Music #ImmersiveMusic
This morning we released our app for Vision Pro and I couldn’t be more proud of the team that made it happen, especially the core team Brian Addison, Lindsay LaBonté, Gary Stein, Jay Young, Florent Morin, and Nathan Batiste. Most people don’t have a reason today to buy a VR headset and for us, music is the reason. We’re on a mission to find out what music looks like and we’re off to a great start. Welcome to the future of music. Join us! (🔈Sound up. CG by Adis Resic ) #AVP #VisionPro #VR #Music #ImmersiveMusic #Holyshitthisiscool
What a night! The 117th Hardware Meetup at Studio 45 was the largest yet, with over 600 RSVPs! The event celebrated SF Tech Week with a focus on humanoid robots, incredible demos, and inspiring talks. Lingkang Zhang from Red Rabbit Robotics showcased the RX1 humanoid and opened up pre-orders for Batch 2. Paweł Budzianowski from K-Scale Labs shared their open-source robotics ecosystem, including their $250 humanoid. Emily Yu from Boost VC shared her insights on vertically integrated robots and early-stage robotics investing. The open mic session was full of energy, with community members presenting prototypes and projects, from affordable actuators to advanced tele-operations. Special thanks to our sponsors, AutoPCB and informal, for their support and helping make the event a success. We can't wait for the next one! _____ 💫 Not ready for SF tech week to be over yet? Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three, two) Check ignition… The batteries work! Next up, assembly once the drivetrain adapter and frame arrive, then a test drive! ELTRA Electric Trailers is the external engine that pushes any vehicle with a tow hitch. Clean energy stored in ELTRA attaches to any legacy gas-powered vehicle, making it into a more fuel-efficient hybrid and extending the range and power of electric vehicles, coming in 2025! Congrats to Brandon Schwartz, Sai Madhavan Surabathula, and Jaydeep Ramnani for reaching this exciting landmark in ELTRA’s growth, right out of Studio 45's warehouse! If you have a trailer hitch or (hitch-capable vehicle with square hitch receiver), and you are interested in saving fuel or extending range, ELTRA wants to hear from you at info@eltra-t.com! ____________________ Whether you’re fine-tuning prototypes or starting something new, our community and resources are here to support you! Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three, two) Check ignition... The batteries work. The motors work. Drivetrain adapter comes today. (Hopefully?) Frame arrives next week. Gotta put it all together. Maybe take it for a test drive soon. Big thank you to my teammates Sai Madhavan Surabathula and Jaydeep Ramnani!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a week since I took part in my first hackathon! I was blown away by the incredible AI innovations designed to make a real difference in people’s lives. I had the privilege of working with an amazing group of innovators to tackle some of healthcare’s biggest challenges. Together with Michael Trang Aniket Das Ruidi Huang we developed an AI mental health assistant—now being tested in schools and communities to address the mental healthcare gap—plus working together with Grace Y. Kenny Zhou Gary Yao Yousef A. to develop a tool that uses cough sounds to screen for respiratory diseases, and an AI solution to improve medication adherence Samuel Donkor and Godwin Chan. On top of the exciting work, I got to explore San Francisco, from riding in a self-driving Waymo car to enjoying some fantastic food! Huge thanks to michael raspuzzi for making this experience possible and to our incredible partners—Studio 45, Health Universe, Inc, HAL51.AI, and AdalFlow—for their support. I’m looking forward to build week in Ghana, where we’ll continue working on these groundbreaking solutions. Stay tuned for updates! #AIInnovation #HackathonExperience #HealthcareSolutions #MentalHealthMatters #SanFranciscoAdventures #FutureOfHealthcare
