How has the pandemic and economic slump affected your job search? New LinkedIn data shows that despite a record-setting number of unemployment claims, some jobs are in-demand — especially those on the front lines of the #coronavirus battle. The list of in-demand jobs includes systems operators, certified public accountants and delivery drivers. Additionally, data show that a range of companies are hiring, including the Army National Guard, KPMG, Amazon and Intuit. Read more about it in the latest edition of #GetHired. #hiring #jobseeking

We’re continuing to dig into the data in LinkedIn's Economic Graph to understand the real-time impact #COVID19 is having on the workforce. Today, we’re sharing new insights from this work. (1) When we look at jobs, we’re seeing a surge in demand for roles on the frontlines that are helping us navigate this pandemic and are critical to supporting the rapidly-changing healthcare and infrastructure needs of the country. This includes Registered Nurses, Store Associates, and Delivery Drivers. A record 3.3 million Americans applied for #unemployment benefits last week, according to Thursday’s Labor Department report, compared with around 280,000 a week earlier. These numbers are an early indicator of the extent to which #coronavirus has ravaged industries and caused businesses to shutter. That said, it hasn't been all bad news for those in search of work, as the pandemic places increased demand on industries like health care and delivery services. According to new LinkedIn data, the top jobs as far as growth in number of postings last week included store associate, health care specialist, warehouse manager, psychologist and delivery driver. The employers with the most job postings? 7-Eleven and the National Guard. Here's the full list:
