About
I am a journalist and a co-founder of The Very Asian Foundation. I believe we can serve our viewers/communities while representing our authentic selves and honoring our unique lived experiences.
I raise money for nonprofit organizations that support AANHPI causes, and I create merchandise and programming to support AANHPIs.
I create engaging, relevant content on several platforms for the NBC affiliate, KSDK, in St. Louis. I anchor and report on consumer advocacy, general news, and special projects.
Previously, I worked at KING 5 in Seattle, where I re-launched an hour-long early evening news program and anchored mornings. Before that, I served as a primary evening anchor in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Southwest Missouri.
I am an innovator, a visual storyteller, a veteran journalist, and a working mom.

I spent many years with the agency as a volunteer. I started out in junior high as a camp counselor for Korean heritage camps for adoptees. Eventually, I started volunteering to go to Korea with adoptive families and be an advocate for the adoptee during their trip. I would also volunteer in the orphanages and escort Korean children to their new homes in the United States. I also spoke to prospective parents about adoption in various countries.
