Audiobook Post-Production Supervisor, Hachette Audio

The Hachette Audio Audiobook Post-Production Supervisor will coordinate the post-production process for 200-250 Hachette Audio recordings a year, working closely with Hachette Producers as well as outside vendors to create high-quality audiobook recordings on aggressive schedules, within budget constraints. The post-production supervisor is the main point of contact for the entire post-production process – setting priorities, assigning work, translating the audiobook producer’s creative plan into action plans.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely Hachette Audio producers and all outside vendors to ensure recording schedule, quality and budget requirements are met – conduct pronunciation research, vet studios and production partners, supervise recording quality control checks, upload and archive all recording assets
  • Set priorities, plan daily work schedules, assign and track work from outside vendors, monitor project progress to ensure that it stays on schedule
  • Prepare and update post-production budgets and cost estimates on a title-by-title basis; analyze post-production specifications in order to propose most efficient and affordable production options
  • Attend and participate in regular staff and production meetings.
  • Work under minimal supervision, keeping audio Producer, Publisher and Associate Publisher informed of any post-production needs or delays.
  • Maintain accurate post-production information in the departmental databases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
