We’re looking for an experienced and talented Aviation Meteorologist who is a team player with high integrity and a proven track record of supporting aviation operations in a fast paced environment. If you have a strong passion for meteorology with a desire to make a difference in aviation operations, come and join the most exciting weather company!

Please note that this position is located onsite in New York City, and will require multiple days per week in office.


What you bring:

  • 2+ years of operational experience as an aviation meteorologist - a must
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends & holidays - a must
  • Experience creating TAFs - a must
  • Experience creating convective, turbulence and icing forecasts/outlooks focused on aviation operations over large geographic areas - a must
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations while meeting hard deadlines
  • Experience participating in conference calls pertaining to aviation meteorology
  • Experience giving verbal/written briefs pertaining to aviation meteorology
  • Strong familiarity with how various weather conditions (wind direction, wind speed, ceilings, visibility, etc.) will affect runway configurations at a given airport
  • Strong familiarity with airline operations
  • Strong familiarity with air traffic management programs and airspace classifications
  • Strong synoptic and mesoscale meteorology skills, with significant experience forecasting convection, winter weather, tropical weather and fog
  • Familiarity with impacts of volcanic ash and large-scale dust storms on aircraft and flight patterns/routes
  • Ability to work independently & pay strong attention to detail
