  • C-2-22 All Things Considered Host/Producer** **Georgia Public Broadcasting | Atlanta GA 30318 USA | Full Time | Posted: 02/09/2022** **View Job** **Job Description** The All Things Considered Host/Producer is the local afternoon voice of Georgia Public Broadcastings (GPB) statewide 20 station radio network guiding listeners through the NPR News Program by creating a sense of place with local news, information, and community connections. The successful candidate will have strong hosting, writing and audio editing skills, and the ability to distribute content to digital platforms. **Candidate Responsibilities:** On-Air: Strive to continuously improve and elevate Afternoon Drive listening experience. Present ALL Things Considered (ATC) and drive time programs daily Monday Friday, 4pm-7pm for GPB statewide Run the digital radio board, playback/automation system, and general broadcast equipment and software. Create daily and topical live read promotions and produce daily audio promos. Off-Air: Support digital audio promotional needs and follow marketing strategies. Host weekly Podcast highlighting ATC and Georgia events of the week Participate in on-air fundraising drives Represent GPB at internal and external community events. Value, contribute to and sustain GPBs commitment to inform and enrich our community; by including many diverse experiences and perspectives. Performs other duties as assigned. **Candidate Qualifications:** Bachelors Degree in broadcasting, journalism, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Minimum two years of professional on-air experience in a similar drive time role. Knowledge and experience with voice work in a public radio setting. Must have strong working knowledge of Enco Automation systems. Demonstrated skills in interviewing, audio editing and writing for broadcast. Proficiency in Adobe Audition and other editing software. Skilled broadcast board operator with knowledge of Public Media best practices. Professional and punctual. Considerable experience working with a team. Ability to work on deadlines both independently and collaboratively. High proficiency with computer apps and software. Curious and self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills.
