Role: Creative Strategist


Overview:

As a key member of our strategy team, you will harness data, creative insights, and market research to craft compelling performance ads aimed at driving client and internal brand revenue growth. Your role involves a dynamic mix of analyzing advertising data to unlock new winning angles, collaborating closely with creators and production teams to create impactful direct response scripts, shotlists, and finished video ads/ static images, all under the oversight and direction of your Strategy Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • With oversight from your Strategy Lead, you will create performance ads that convert to client and internal revenue growth by:
  • Utilizing data, research, and creative insights to formulate effective creative strategy
  • Analyzing data in platforms like Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager
  • Performing consumer, product, and competitor research using basic tools/resources
  • Collaborating with creators, production team, and editors to produce videos, overseeing the entie process of your ad idea come to life in the way you envisioned it
  • Creator outreach and management
  • Writing scripts, copy, shotlsits, and creative briefs for video and static image ads
  • Ensuring visuals match creative strategy outlined for the ad
  • Giving feedback that aligns to the creative strategy of the ad
  • Executing on feedback given by your Strategy Lead
  • Analyzing the results of creative tests and utilizing this analysis to iterate
  • With oversight from your Strategy Lead, responsible for weekly strategic account planning for 1-3 clients
  • Identifying top-performing concepts within accounts using data and creative analysis
  • Identifying effective concepts/trends in the social media ecosystem
  • Continuously optimizing ad strategy and uncovering documenting what works for a certain brand and what does not work. Drawing conclusions to implement into the next round of creative. 


Required Skills And Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of paid social and direct response marketing experience (work/writing samples are a big plus)
  • Able to learn from training/examples and quickly execute new skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Strong collaborative skills, working effectively with team members across various departments.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and organize tasks based on urgency.
  • High level of urgency in executing tasks and achieving results.
  • Strong understanding of social media (frequent user of at least one of these platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Deep understanding of conversion-driven creative.
  • Experience with VSL’s is a bonus
  • Experience with FB Ads Manager, and/or experience with other ad platforms including TikTok, Youtube, Snapchat
  • Able to work comfortably across Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment and adapt to evolving industry trends and best practices

  11. In what ways do you measure the success of your advertising campaigns, and what metrics do you prioritize?
  12. Describe a situation where you had to collaborate with a team or other departments to achieve a common goal. What was your role, and how did you contribute?
  13. What is your strategy for deciding which new angles to test for a given brand/product?
  14. Have you ever created shot lists attached to a script you have written? If so, can you provide an example of one that performed well?
