ABOUT THIS POSITION: As an Engineering Manager (EM) at HereNOW Help, you will play a pivotal role in leading a diverse and talented team of engineers. Your expertise will be essential in driving the development and deployment of our platform, which aims to reach and assist millions of people across the US. The EM plays an integral part in building the technology team to collaborate in a joint effort supporting mental wellness for service members and veterans (and their families), healthcare systems and communities. This is a unique opportunity to work on a product addressing critical needs, while making a tangible difference in people's lives. The role will be full-time and 100% on-site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, including backend, frontend, UX, QA, devops, cybersecurity, and ML/AI engineers. Technical Guidance: Provide strong technical leadership and ensure the team follows best practices in software development. Your coding skills will be crucial in guiding and supporting the team. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including customer support/success and sales, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our platform. Project Management: Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features and improvements. Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team, leveraging your experience in successful startups to implement effective strategies and solutions. QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience as a technical leader in a successful startup environment. Strong coding skills and technical background; familiarity with Google Cloud, Javascript, Python, and PHP (Laravel) is a huge plus. Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges. Excellent project management, budgeting and organizational skills to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: In addition to base salary we offer an annual discretionary bonus. Phantom shares will be communicated at time of offer and add substantial compensation to a generous base salary + bonus. Employer covered health, dental, and vision insurance at 100%. 401(k) plan with a generous employer match. Unlimited PTO with a minimum of 2 weeks taken each year. Company holidays include all federal holidays, the week between Christmas and New Years, and additional days off determined by management each year. There are 19 company holidays observed in 2024. Stipends available to support commuting costs. Additional incentives to be offered at company discretion.
