We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sustainability Lead to join our team and lead initiatives that enable our clients to achieve their sustainability goals more efficiently and effectively. This role involves owning and driving sustainability projects from conception to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams, and applying a data-driven approach to make a significant impact. Our team is remote-first; however, you should be open to traveling 2-3 times per year to foster personal relationships with our team and customers.

Your contributions to our journey:

• Lead and manage sustainability initiatives: Oversee sustainability projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet business and environmental goals.
• Proactively stay abreast global sustainability regulations and communicate changes to the team in order to comply with reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement solutions that address customer regulatory driven needs and deliver significant environmental benefits.
• Ensure data quality and regulatory compliance:Verify the accuracy of data and establish rigorous metrics to maintain high data quality standards.
• Work closes with engineering and product teams on developing carbon foot-printing models
• Provide guidance and lead efforts for ISO, TUV and EPD certifications.
• Contribute to strategic development and company-wide initiatives:Shape and refine our sustainability vision and contribute to the overall company strategy.
• Mentor junior team members in best sustainability practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Promote a sustainability-focused mindset across the company, encouraging all teams to integrate these principles into their work.
• Enhance processes and collaboration:Implement and refine processes to improve the efficiency and quality of our sustainability efforts.
• Apply best practices and valuable frameworks to evolve sustainability practices across teams.
• Support the growth of our product and technology teams by providing sustainability expertise.
• Establish and maintain effective collaboration with other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated sustainability efforts.
• Engage with customers:Occasionally participate in customer calls to verify calculated results and provide expert insights on sustainability practices and data accuracy.
• Build strong relationships with customers to understand their sustainability needs and challenges, ensuring our solutions align with their goals.

What you need to be successful:

💡 Must Have

• Experience in conducing Life Cycle Assessments (following ISO 14040, ISO 14044) and Product Carbon Footprint
• Strong project management skills and experience in delivering sustainability projects.
• Passion for solving big challenges in a simple way. Experience in startup environments, entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on mentality

💡 Nice to Have

• Background in the electronics industry or knowledge of the electronics manufacturing industry is a huge plus.
• Deep passion for sustainability and environmental science.
• Strong experience in data verification and quality assurance.
• Outgoing and open-minded personality with the ability to motivate a team.
• Highly analytical and creative thinker, skilled in problem-solving.

Attributes we are looking for:

Basic Qualification

• 4+ years of experience working on PCFs and LCAs.
• Experience managing complex sustainability assessments.
• Ability to discuss and translate environmental science topics with engineers.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in verbal and written English.

Preferred Qualification

• 8+ years of total working experience in relevant roles.
• Strong understanding of complex technical and sustainability metrics and impact categories.
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research and testing.
• Experience working with AI technologies and in highly regulated industries is a plus.
