About the Role


Do you want to work with one of the world leaders in grant consultancy? Join is and help us change the world for the better, one grant at a time. You will work at the cutting edge of science and technology, working with pioneering companies, leading research centers and world class universities to push the boundaries of what is possible. You will help to solve the most difficult and pressing problems in the world today, from climate change to an aging population, from sustainable transport to smart cities to name just a few. You will work among a small team of experienced consultants to secure grant funding for medium and large collaborative projects (around 5M€ - 100M€).



Responsibilities:

  • Consult with the client regarding the scope of the project.
  • Define the reference scenario and project boundaries for GHG emissions avoidance.
  • Calculate the GHG emission avoidance potential of a project at the application stage using the Innovation Fund’s tools.
  • Write and justify assumptions made considering the evaluation criteria to secure funding.
  • Define key ideas, concepts, and provide creative solutions with the client.
  • Ensure the proposal aspects covering GHG emission avoidance is completed in time for the application.



Qualifications:


MSc. or PHD in Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics.


  • Any of the following are considered desirable:
  • GHG Protocol Training (standards for corporate and product GHG reporting)
  • ISO 14064 Certification (specific to GHG accounting and verification)
  • Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM)
  • LEED Accreditation
  • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Software Training
  • Data Analysis and Programming-Skills in Python, R, or Excel for data modeling and emissions calculations.


Required Skills


  • Detailed calculations applying Innovation Fund’s GHG emissions avoidance methodology.
  • Previous preparation of Innovation Fund applications.
  • Knowledge of the EU regulations for emission allowances and EU ETS.
  • Development of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
  • Corporate GHG accounting.
  • Work in sustainability departments of Energy Intensive Industries or Renewable Energy markets.
