Our clients Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Banking Associate to join their Specialty Finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the team’s efforts in providing strategic advisory and financing solutions to clients within the specialty finance sector. Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Execution: Assist in the execution of M&A, capital raising, and other financial transactions from start to finish, including preparing pitch books, financial models, and transaction documentation.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including valuation, due diligence, and market research to support transactions and client engagements.
Client Interaction: Work closely with senior bankers to manage client relationships, prepare presentations, and deliver strategic advice tailored to client needs.
Industry Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments impacting the specialty finance sector.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, including credit, risk, and compliance, to ensure seamless execution of transactions and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 3 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on the financial institutions or specialty finance sector.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
