Media Engineer

Primary Function

Provides engineering design, installation, and support for digital media systems in broadcast studio and video editing post-production environments. Manages highly complex projects to provide new technical capabilities. Maintains media platform and provides technical support to ensure the highest quality and most cost-effective operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Designs cost effective and innovative media solutions for content acquisition, creation and distribution across multiple delivery channels.
• Manages and maintains different types of media systems and/or equipment to include installation, modification, testing, troubleshooting and repair to the component.
• Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
• Follow written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
• Applies advanced knowledge to design technical infrastructure systems, including network and media platform requirements.
• Executes multiple, complex projects, in support of Marketing and Enterprise objectives.
• Effectively executes all technical aspects of live and recorded broadcasts with ability to resolve problems and critical issues within the media production environment.
• Expected to complete quality projects on time and within budget.
• Guides team Computer-aided design (CAD) drawing efforts, including developing standards, creating new drawings and maintaining drawing files.
• Oversees third party contractors to effectively set up venue for enterprise events to maximize quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge utilizing applications to create line diagrams and drawings such as Computer-aided design (CAD).
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Proficient at multi-tasking and taking advantage of unexpected time to complete open priority work.
  
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 6 years of experience in media, broadcast, post-production and live events.
