CLIENT’S LAPTOP TO BE ISSUED. WORK PHONE TO BE PROVIDED IF CANDIDATE DOESN'T USE THEIR CELL PHONE. MILEAGE WILL BE REIMBURSED FOR TRAVEL BEYOND NORMAL WORK LOCATION AND LODGING IF REQUIRED (BUT MOST LIKELY WILL NOT BE REQUIRED).

Top Things Looking For

• MUST HAVE a Minimum B.S. in Meteorology/Atmospheric Science
• Any prior utility or emergency management experience a plus
• Previous fire weather experience a plus
  
  

Meteorologist in the Client’s Operational Weather Office - Weather Forecast duties.

Bachelor's Degree And Typically 5-7 Years' Related Work Experience

• Ability to quickly identify and respond to anomalous weather environments
• Demonstrated experience with weather forecasting and tools
• Proven expertise in meteorology, including California weather and microclimates
• Detailed understanding of relevant weather statistics and prediction indicators
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure environments
• Experience in operational planning and execution
• Familiarity with communications systems and computer networking
• Experience authoring technical documentation and training materials
• Working proficiency using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.
