IAM Business Analyst – Process Design & Application Onboarding


Contract: 6 months, extension highly likely

Location: Fully Remote (within EU or UK)

Industry: Financial services


We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support process design and application onboarding within our Identity and Access Management projects. The role focuses on aligning business requirements with IAM solutions and improving user experiences through SailPoint IIQ.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, refine, and prioritise requirements, ensuring clarity on deliverables.
  • Analyse current access control processes, roles, and application integrations.
  • Convert business needs into functional features within SailPoint IIQ, balancing resources and project impact.
  • Introduce application owners to JML processes, access request workflows, and RBAC frameworks as part of the onboarding process.
  • Work with process and application owners to define requirements for integrating applications and services with SailPoint.
  • Conduct process and data quality analysis during application onboarding, assisting owners in optimising their environments pre-integration.
  • Design application-specific workflows, including access requests, approvals, recertification, and personnel movements.
  • Develop user journey maps to streamline IAM processes and enhance user experience.
  • Incorporate testing definitions into designs to support automated testing.
  • Engage QA and testing teams to align on process changes and validate new functionalities through UAT.
  • Create training materials, deliver sessions, and provide post-implementation support to ensure smooth transitions and address user feedback.
  • Collaborate with IT, service owners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding and process improvements.
  • Document key decisions, milestones, and lessons learnt for organisational knowledge.
  • Analyse system performance and feedback to identify optimisation opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IAM, with expertise in SailPoint IIQ.
  • Strong skills in process modelling, workflow design, and requirements translation.
  • Experience in UAT, training delivery, and user support.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of IAM tools, trends, and best practices.
