Sr. Staff Accountant, $65,000 - $80,000 salary plus bonus

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client in their search for a Sr. Staff Accountant. The Sr. Staff Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close processes, and assisting with accounting-related transactions. You will also assist other members of the Accounting Department as needed and work closely with the team to ensure financial goals and objectives are achieved. A successful Sr. Staff Accountant will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
• Review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries.
• Perform cost analysis and review expenses to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist Project Accountants and Managers to ensure project accounting is set up accurately and current.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
• Assist with investigating variances to budget and prior year.
• Provide support for accounting staff as needed.
• Assist with Ad-hoc reporting and special projects.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting-related experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of Accounting and GAAP.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
