Job Description

We are on the hunt for an exceptional Video Editor to collaborate with us on a freelance basis. This role is perfect for a highly skilled individual with a rich background in editing various types of video content, including but not limited to institutional videos, government PSAs, healthcare trainings, commercials, and documentaries. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of creative vision, technical proficiency, and a relentless drive to produce award-winning work.

Responsibilities:

• Independently edit a broad spectrum of video content with precision and creativity, ensuring alignment with project visions and standards.
• Work closely with our production team, providing critical creative inputs and executing edits that enhance the narrative and visual impact.
• Masterfully handle color grading, sound editing, and the integration of special effects to elevate the quality of the final product.
• Efficiently manage project timelines and deliver edits that meet or exceed expectations, accommodating revisions as needed.
• Keep digital assets well-organized and maintain a reliable archive of all work.

Requirements:

• Experience: Over 10 years of professional experience in video editing, with a proven track record and a portfolio demonstrating expertise in a variety of formats, including institutional and documentary work.
• Equipment & Software: Must own professional-grade editing equipment and hold current subscriptions to essential SaaS video editing tools. A commitment to regularly updating these tools is expected.
• Contracting & Flexibility: Willing to sign a contracting agreement to work as a 1099 independent contractor. Must be adaptable to changes and open to feedback and revisions throughout the editing process.
• Quality & Awards: A strong focus on delivering high-quality work with the ambition to win awards and achieve recognition in the industry.
• Background Check: Able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, despite being an independent contractor.
• Monthly Meetings: Availability to attend monthly meetings at our Hollywood HQ.
