Responsibilities

As the Head of Brand, you will play an integral role in defining, shaping and driving Customers Bank’s overall brand strategy, identity, and positioning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Brand Development and Positioning:
  • Driving thoughtful brand evolution to craft new positioning that infuses the brand with an elegant, inspired and inspiring personality, distinguishes Customers Bank from competitors, and fully embodies luxury brand qualities.
  • Ensuring a consistent look and feel and tone and voice for the brand across all touchpoints and expressions.
  • Collaboration and Decision-Making:
  • Working closely with marketing leadership.
  • Making strategic decisions both independently and in conjunction with the Chief Marketing Officer.
  • Collaborating with line of business leaders and occasionally with C-suite executives on new programs supported by brand and creative.
  • Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Guiding and managing creative, production, account service, and strategy, as well as creative agencies and freelancers.
  • Educating members of the marketing team on brand principles and strategies.
  • Communicating with executive leadership during the rollout of new brand concepts and designs.
  • Embracing business challenges to lead the team in identifying creative solutions that continually Wow! our customers.
  • Operational Considerations:
  • Ensuring scalability by developing documented brand guidelines and systems.
  • Requirements and Skills:
  • Over 15 years of design experience in creative and in-house agencies,, including more than ten years in management roles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership abilities
  • Proven and awarded expertise in selecting, evaluating, and shaping creative ideas
  • Skilled in managing high-stakes client relationships and providing strategic guidance
  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding creative teams and setting a strategic creative direction aligned with business goals
  • Comprehensive knowledge and teaching ability in creative media, including techniques, production criteria, and brand and design principles
  • Ability to nurture, motivate, and inspire both stakeholders and coworkers
  • High level of personal and leadership maturity
  • Strong references from clients, former colleagues, and creative teams previously led
  • Bachelor’s degree in design
