- So I'm sure all of you have heard of all sorts of breathwork that you can be up to in this world but the fact of the matter is not all breathwork is created equal. When it comes to expanding resilience, when it comes from moving from a state of anxiety to a state of peace and mental clarity, the breath you want to be up to is one where you breathe in slowly and gently, you pause for a second and then you exhale and you make that exhale almost twice as long as your inhale. In other words, what you're doing is that you're recreating that experience of that long, slow exhale, that sigh of relief and when you do that, when you breathe in that way, you strengthen your vagus nerve. Now, the world is going to be what the world is going to be and the world is going to present challenges to us.
